The Ghana Police Service has arrested 141 suspects, including a landlord, in a major intelligence-led operation targeting cyber-enabled financial crimes in parts of the Greater Accra Region.
The arrests were carried out by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) in collaboration with the Cyber Security Authority, National Security, and the Ghana Immigration Service during a joint operation conducted on Friday, December 27, 2025.
According to the Police, the suspects were apprehended from their hideouts within identified cybercrime enclaves at Tabora and Lashibi, following weeks of intelligence gathering.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were part of coordinated cybercrime networks engaged in a range of illicit activities, including Mobile Money fraud, romance scams, sextortion, business email compromise, and wire fraud. The criminal activities reportedly targeted victims both within Ghana and abroad.
During the operation, security personnel retrieved 38 laptop computers and 150 mobile phones, all believed to have been used in perpetrating the cyber-enabled crimes. The seized devices are currently undergoing forensic analysis to support ongoing investigations.
All 141 suspects are presently in police custody, assisting with investigations, and are expected to be processed and arraigned before court in accordance with the law.
