Vodafone Ghana has announced that Ghana’s most anticipated annual musical event, 020 Live will this year be a ‘Red Island’ concert exclusively for their loyal customers on the network.
The extraordinary music event will be held on a specially created island along the shores of Labadi Beach Hotel on December 14, 2013.
The ‘Red Island’ concept, the first of its kind in the country, will be headlined by Ghanaian born UK based MOBO award winner, Fuse ODG.
Other artistes on the bill include, Artiste of the year, R2Bees; multiple award winning trio 4x4; and Ghana’s leading female singer Eazzy.
Hiplife artiste and dynamic music duo, Keche and Ryan, winner of Vodafone Icons Street’s Edition Ryan will also make their debut on the 020 Live stage.
Head of Customer Experience for Vodafone Ghana, Stephen Essien, speaking at the launch at the Golden Tulip Hotel Thursday night said, “020 Live has made a huge impact on the music industry in Ghana. We are particularly excited that it has over the years offered a global stage and presence for our home grown talents.”
“This year’s concert is very unique as we will be celebrating our customers for their loyalty. Our customers remain our top priority and we want to show our appreciation by giving them an exclusive treat. I am confident that this year’s 020 live experience will be unmatched. Ghanaians should expect a high-quality, fun-filled concert this year,” he emphasized.
The annual concert which is in its fourth year has in the past celebrated young and upcoming Ghanaian artistes like the winners for the Vodafone Icons television shows, and iconic home-grown music stars such as BET Award winner Sarkodie, 4x4, among others.
This year’s 020 Live will also give customers the opportunity to meet and interact with top celebrated musicians and actors. MC for the night is the celebrated ‘Channel O’ presenter, Denrele Edun.
