Wilfred Kwaku Osei’s appeal following his disqualification from contesting Ghana Football Association (GFA) presidency has been rejected by the Normalisation Committee.
Osei, popularly known as Palmer was disqualified from contesting the presidential election by the Normalisation Committee acting as the Election Committee upon recommendations from the Vetting Committee.
The NC said Palmer breached regulations on ethics and mandatory payments to the GFA in relation to player transfers.
He was given the chance to appeal the decision before Tuesday, October 8, 2019 deadline.
Palmer confirmed submitting his appeal on Monday, October 7, 2019.
Contrary to reports, the Committee in a statement, Wednesday, confirmed receiving the appeal before the deadline but claims it was unsuccessful.
Palmer was among seven who filed to contest the election but following the vetting, the number has reduced to six.
The election is scheduled to take place on October 25.
