Leader of the National Interest Movement (NIM) and a member of Alan Kyerematen’s Alliance for Revolutionary Change (ARC), Dr Michael Abu Sakara Forster, has emphasised the urgent need for Ghana's restoration.
He stressed that this restoration requires sacrifices from leadership to initiate national rejuvenation.
Dr Sakara noted that despite Ghana's improved Gross Domestic Product (GDP), inflation and food prices are alarmingly high.
He asserted that the country has lost its momentum and must be revitalised under the Great Transformation Plan (GTP).
He criticised the unprecedented levels of transaction taxes and highlighted the nation's dire state under the alternating rule of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He claimed this political duopoly has left the country in a state of stagnation.
Expressing concern over the bloated public wage bills, Dr Sakara pointed out that these are causing despair among the youth, who are struggling to find opportunities.
He made the remarks during the launch of the GTP, spearheaded by Mr Kwadwo Kyerematen, the independent presidential candidate supported by the ARC.
The GTP aims to deliver more hospitals, roads, and other infrastructure across the country by forming a unity government to include all stakeholders, should Mr Kyerematen be elected in the December 7 general elections.
Dr Sakara described the GTP not merely as a promise, but as a social contract. He urged Ghanaians to embrace the plan for the revival of the nation.
