Ghana striker Prince Tagoe played his first match for TSG Hoffenheim in six months as a second half substitute in their pre-season goalless draw with Rapid Vienna.
He replaced former Liverpool winger Ryan Babel in the 46th minute but was unable to find the back of the net.
Tagoe must fight for a permanent place in the Bundesliga side after falling down the pecking order during previous two season stint.
The 24-year-old who has been linked with a move to Major Soccer League side Seattle Sounders joined Hoffenheim’s pre-season base in Austria last week.
Seattle Sounders General Manager Adrian Hanauer confirmed their interest in the striker but insisted the club cannot afford US$ 10 million a year deal for the former Hearts of Oak player.
