Dr Lawrence Tetteh, Founder and President of the World Miracle Outreach at the weekend, asked Ghanaian authorities to know that they have limited time in office and must therefore strive to serve with humility. "There is a limited time for one to serve in office but there is no limited time for one to serve God," he said. Dr Tetteh said this in a sermon in Accra at the Adabraka District of the Assemblies of God Church, during which a number of personalities including: Vice President John Dramani Mahama, The Chief Justice; Mrs Georgina Theodora Wood, and Reverend Dr Simon Asore, who are members of the Church were honoured for their dedicated and exemplary leadership towards the mission. The ceremony was part of the Easter Convention of the Church on the theme: "Be filled with the Holy Spirit for Greater Works." The Vice President and the Chief Justice received the Church's High Christian Honour while Rev Asore took home the prize for Exemplary Leadership. Dr Tetteh asked politicians not to be only politically correct but also strive "to be Godly correct", adding that they are not in politics by chance. "It is God who ordains people into leadership positions, hence the need for those in authority not to leave God in whatever they do." He expressed the need for upright leadership saying: "Righteousness exalts a nation… and when the righteous rule, the people rejoice." Dr Tetteh said it was always good for people in high office to fully participate in Christian activities and therefore commended Mr Dramani and Mrs Wood for serving as role models for Christendom. "They that know God shall continuously be strong and shall do exploits," he emphasised. He admonished the two personalities not to relent in their services to God and not to be overly consumed by the trappings of their office. Preaching on seven key points, Dr Tetteh called on Ghanaians to count their blessings and remember their humble beginnings. They should also not forget God in all their dealings. "Ghanaians in leadership positions should not lose sight of where God has brought them so far and should not forget those who stood and supported them to achieve their aspirations. "We should not forget our vows to God and love ones," he added. Dr Tetteh prayed for President John Evans Atta Mills and former Heads of State and their families, asking God to bless them to stay united as the nation made efforts to develop. "We need a massive united front as nation to develop," he said. Dr Tetteh commended Right Reverend Dr Paul Frimpong Manso, Head of the Church and his colleagues in leadership positions for using the Easter to bring honour to God as well as those who have faithfully served the Almighty. The Church offered Dr Tetteh, International Evangelist and Author an Award of Appreciation for being the main speaker at the convention. Dr Tetteh who is a PHD holder and Research Fellow in Economics and International Relations has ministered in many international conferences including the UK, US, Israel, Eastern and Western Europe and many African countries.
