Retired Referee Joseph Wellington has advised Ghanaian referees to desist from taking bribe in execution of their duties. He told Asempa Sports that if Ghanaian referees can regain the confidence of soccer-loving fans in the country then they have to do their jobs devoid of doubts. According to him, the referees should try as much as possible to always be fair in their judgment on the field of play. Referee Wellington stated that Ghanaian referees have what it takes to get to the international scene but only if some of them will desist from bribery and corruption. He added that, club officials who engage referees should also desist from the unhealthy act since it does not help in the growth of Ghana football. Benedict Owusu Dankwa/Asempa Sports
