In a massive show of support for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), residents of the Anloga Constituency in the Volta region swarmed a rally organised by Sports Minister Clement Kofi Humado.The masses turned out to show their support for the incumbent Member of Parliament during his final thank you campaign rally at the Hogbetsotso Park.''Let us not take anything for granted or relax after all the hard work we have put into this campaign. The only way to ensure total one touch victory for the President Mahama, for Humado and for the NDC is for you to vote massively on December 7,'' declared the Anlo MP.Humado is the longest serving Sports Minister in the Mills/Mahama administration, and in recognition of his contributions to the party, NDC stalwarts including Communications expert Koku Anyidoho, Volta Regional Minister Hon. Henry Ford Kamel and NDC Anloga Constituency Secretary Samuel Ekuadzi, appeared at the rally to show their support.Other party giants who graced the rally were Malaysia Ambassador Hon. Dan Abodapki and Benin Ambassador Modestus Ahiable.Speaker after speaker praised the Sports Minister for his stewardship in the constituency, and each compliment was greeted with resounding cheers.The Movement for Mahama (MFM) also turned up in force to show solidarity with Minister Humado.The group, led by renowned sports journalist Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, took to the podium to entreat the NDC supporters, particularly the youth, to turn out on voting day to ''zu-za'' massively for President John Mahama and Hon. Humado.MFM spokesman Bill Bedzrah said the Movement’s main aim is to enhance and protect President Mahama’s image and to campaign for other NDC parliamentary candidates in as many regions and constituencies as possible before the elections.The Movement For Mahama, which echoes the campaign messages of the President and the NDC, has already appeared at events in over a dozen towns, tertiary institutions and constituencies including Tema West, Abokobi, Ayawaso Central, Ablekumah North, Anyaa Sowutuom and Awutu Senya West.Having held successful events at the University of Professional Studies (formerly IPS), GIMPA and smaller rallies on private campuses, the next tertiary institutions on its schedule are KNUST, Accra Polytechnic and the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ).
