Undefeated American professional boxer, Floyd Mayweather Jnr has disclosed that he has plans of letting ‘Twerk Queen’ Miley Cyrus walk him to the ring in his future bout.
The boxer who recently beat Mexican boxer Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez in Las Vegas said he always wants the best beside him before every fight and believes that the Wrecking Ball hit singer fits the bill as an escourt.
Before his fight with Saul, Floyd had music stars Lil Wayne and Justin Bieber walk him to the ring – ‘Ring Walk’. Other celebrities, including 50 Cent, have also done same over the years.
Speaking in an interview with Billboard from the backstage of the 2013 iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vagas, the boxer, who has eight titles to his credit, said he has been considering having Miley Cyrus walk with him.
“I was thinking about letting the ‘Twerk Queen’ Miley Cyrus bring me out why not?” Floyd Mayweather noted.
Miley Cyrus has been in the news in the past few months for the wrong reasons and is reported to have become one of the most searched celebrities on the internet after her vulgar Blurred Lines MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) performance with Robin Thicke in August 2013.
In her provocative latex underwear, the 21-year-old sing ‘twerked’ on the Robin, 36. That act sent social media buzzing with comments.
Her latest music video, Wrecking Ball, which saw her go completely nude, nabbed a new world record after receiving over 19 million views on Vevo/Youtube after 24 hours of its release.
Floyd Mayweather explained that, “Lil Wayne and Justin Bieber walked with me for my ‘Ring Walk’ for this fight. 50 Cent walked me out in the past and the list goes on and on but when you are the best, you only want to deal with the best.”
The five-division world champion disclosed that he was at the event to see Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake Drake, and Bruno Mars perform but was of the view that, “Miley Cyrus is very entertaining.”
