ICGC The Royal Temple, Awoshie–Anyah, as part of its 28th Anniversary Celebration, has donated food and essential items valued at over GH¢50,000 to the Akropong School for the Blind on Saturday, February 14.
According to Rev. Samuel Awuku-Gyekye, Senior Pastor of The Royal Temple and Regional Overseer for Accra West, “Running a school for persons with disabilities is a demanding responsibility, particularly in a nation where limited resources must be distributed among many pressing needs."
"Institutions such as the Akropong School for the Blind require consistent support from churches, organisations, and individuals to ensure the smooth running of the school and the proper upkeep of students.
In recognition of this need, The Royal Temple has chosen to mark its anniversary not only with thanksgiving but also with practical compassion.”

The items presented included bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, soft drinks, packs of sachet water, packs of toilet rolls, packs of paper hand towels, sanitary pads, gallons of liquid soap, washing powder, bar soap, tomato paste, and boxes of Tom Brown.
The donation, estimated at over GH¢50,000, is expected to significantly support the feeding, hygiene, and general welfare needs of the students and staff of the school.
This initiative reflects the church’s commitment to holistic ministry, preaching the Gospel while also demonstrating the love of Christ through tangible acts of kindness. The Royal Temple continues to uphold its mandate of community impact and social responsibility as an expression of its faith.

During its 25th anniversary three years ago, the church visited the same school and donated items worth thousands of Ghana Cedis to support the day-to-day running of the institution.
ICGC The Royal Temple is a branch of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), located at Anyah Market, Awoshie, and is pastored by Rev. Samuel Awuku-Gyekye. Over the years, the church has remained devoted to spiritual growth, community transformation, and meaningful outreach initiatives.
The 28th Anniversary celebration therefore stands not only as a milestone of gratitude to God but also as a practical demonstration of compassion to society.
