Former Leicester centre back, Jonny Evans has been announced as Manchester United’s latest signing, in a surprising turn of events.
Manchester United are scheduled for a trip to New York for a preseason camp, but the United Academy graduate will not join the first team's USA camp.
The club has stated that after the game against Lyon, on Thursday afternoon, Evans will join the Academy group going to San Diego.
But he's been named in the squad traveling to Edinberg for the Lyon friendly.
Evans, after graduating from the Red Devils' Academy, won three Premier League title, three English Super Cup titles, two League Cups, a Champions League trophy as well as the Club World Cup.
In 2015, he was sold to West Brom after 9 years at the club.
He then transferred to Leicester City in 2018, where he won the FA cup and English Super Cup in his four years with the Foxes.
Now returning to Old Trafford, he will be looking to make as much of an impact he can for Ten Hag's Red Devils as the new season edges closer.
