Journalists Sanctuary International (JSI) is set to embark on a series of activities including advocacy for the safety of journalists in the month of November.
The advocacy group will also donate protective gears to media organisations in Africa starting with Ghana and Tanzania.
This year's donation is the second in the history of the organisation that has been set up to champion the safety journalists who at great personal cost, go to perilous places to investigate and or cover newsworthy stories and share same with their audiences.

Journalists Sanctuary International also offers training for journalists on contemporary trends in journalism with the ultimate aim of positioning them to stay relevant in a craft that is evolving in a fast changing world.
Items to be donated include military standard tactical helmets, bulletproof vests or body armors, and pepper sprays.
The projects will be spearheaded by Professor Audrey Gadzekpo who is Chairperson of the board of directors of Journalists Sanctuary International, Martin Luther Kpebu, also a board member, and Latif Iddrisu, founder and president of the organisation.
This round of advocacy and donation is a precursor to a major event planned for December as Ghana and Tanzania prepare for major elections in their respective countries.
The Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, Citi TV/Citi FM, and the Ghana News Agency are some organisations that will benefit in this round of donation.
