Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito has revealed he is in talks with defender Samba O'Neil to switch nationality to Ghana.
The Congolese centre-back has been one of the Porcupine Warriors' top performers this season.
He scored the decisive goal that gave Kotoko the win over Young Apostles at the Baba Yara Stadium on Wednesday, November 19, in their matchday six outstanding game in the Ghana Premier League.
His gaffer says he is talking the defender through switching his nationality.
Speaking about the performance of Samba after the game, Zito said, "Samba O’niel is exceptional and I’ve started trying to convince him to switch nationality to Ghana."
Samba featured for Rahimo FC, AS Douanes, and Sahel SC before signing for Kotoko.
