Coach Karim Zito has taken the reins at Division One League side AshantiGold as the head of their technical department, 15 days after resigning from Asante Kotoko.
Zito stepped down from his role with the Porcupines as head coach after a poor run of one win in six matches.
The former Dreams FC gaffer is now with AshantiGold to boost the club's hopes of securing Premier League promotion.
The duration of the contract is unclear, but Zito is expected to work until the end of the season.
Coach Karim Zito is in our camp.
He has joined the technical team.
His experience.
His discipline.
His winning mindset.
This adds strength to our bench and belief to our squad.
Welcome to FC Ashantigold, Coach. Let’s get to work.pic.twitter.com/wtffuZdAKb— FC ASHANTIGOLD (fcashantigold04) February 24, 2026
AshantiGold top Zone 2 in the Division One League with 40 points after Matchday 20.
Zito, who guided Dreams to FA Cup glory in 2023 and a semi-final finish in the CAF Confederation Cup, repeated the trophy triumph with Kotoko last season before adding the Toyota Cup, Super Cup, and President's Cup.
