Delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Kintampo South Constituency have pledged to deliver more than 77% of the votes for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the constituency in the party’s 2026 presidential primaries.
The commitment was made during Dr. Bawumia’s “Our Journey Together” tour of the Bono East Region, where delegates and party supporters reaffirmed their confidence in his leadership and described him as the right candidate to lead the NPP to victory in the 2028 general elections.
They added that the former Vice President’s 77 percent victory in the 2023 primaries would serve as a target to exceed, highlighting his humility, integrity, and commitment to national progress as reasons for their renewed support.
Speaking passionately to the gathering, one delegate said:
“Before the 2024 elections, Dr. secured 77 percent here in Kintampo South—that’s our achievement! This year, how many votes are we giving him? Why should he be changed now? Let’s come together as one family and vote for him massively.”
Another speaker added, “I appeal to all delegates — this man is honest and speaks the truth. Let’s vote for him so he can lead us and bring the change Ghana and our communities need.”
The event was filled with excitement and chants of support, as delegates vowed to work tirelessly to ensure a decisive victory for Dr. Bawumia in the 2026 primaries.
Many described his leadership as one of honesty, vision, and transformation, the kind of leadership they believe will move both the NPP and the country forward.
