About 45 second-year students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) have been dismissed from the university.
The university authorities say the dismissed students used fake certificates and results slips to apply for admission into the university.
But some of the affected students deny the charge and have vowed to take legal action against the university.
Speaking to Joy News, two of the students, Akushika Seku and Anika Tima Kobina, insist they had been wrongfully dismissed.
They said their own investigations revealed that the admission forms sold by the university were short of needed information because they displayed grades that conflicted with those of the West African Examinations Council for the WASSCE.
They said the blame should be put on the university for failing to appropriately guide prospective students.
