Legendary hi-life musician Dr. Paa Bobo is dead.
The ace musician born Kwaku Agyapong Danemah in 1951 in the Eastern part of Ghana (Akyim Maase) had been on admission at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital for weeks, but unfortunately passed away Saturday afternoon around 1:30pm.
The musician's condition worsened Saturday with difficulty in breathing, and was placed on oxygen therapy.
Dr. Paa Bobo started his music career in 1968 by learning how to play rudiments of guitar from Ghana's ace guitarist Smart Nkansah. He later formed his band in Aba, Nigeria .
His impressive career saw him being the only African music legend who successfully recorded two hit albums in two hours with Decca Nigeria.
Dr. Paa Bobo has 40 albums and over 35 hits songs to his credit including 'Comfort', 'Osobrokyie', 'Aba Saa', and 'Wonyame Som Mponi'.
