This morning on Newsfile, host Samson Lardy Anyenini and his panelist discussed the decision of former Trade and Industry Minister, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen to run for presidency as an independent candidate.
On Monday, Mr Kyerematen announced his resignation from the New Patriotic Party with immediate effect while declaring his intention to run as an independent candidate in the 2024 general election.
He cited some issues of not being treated fairly by the leadership of the party, thus his resignation. But the party disagreed with the allegation raised by Mr Kyerematen.
With this said the argument as to whether Mr Kyerematen can break barriers and emerge victorious in the 2024 general election remains a question many have argued on.
Also, the show delved into the impact of the government's Domestic Debt Exchange Programme and whether there are any signs of recovery.
