Ghana’s local Black Stars will leave Accra for Kenya on Thursday where they will begin full scale preparations ahead of next month’s African Nations Championship in Sudan.
The two-week training camp is expected to offer the 23-man squad adequate time to acclimatize before the start of the tournament on February 4.
Ghana will be making a second attempt at the trophy after ending as losing finalists in the first edition.
Head Coach Herbert Addo believes the team will be ready for the competition after the camping period.
He said the team will play many training matches while in Kenya to sharpen their skills ahead of the tournament.
Ghana is paired in Group B alongside South Africa, Zimbabwe and Niger.
