Rapper of the Year at this year’s Ghana Music Awards is leading an impressive pack of performers for the maiden edition of the Joy FM Open Mic event.
The event, which comes off this Saturday at the +233 Jazz Bar and Grill, will see several established and amateur performers grab the mic to show off their creative talents.
Billed to be a quarterly event, the night will witness exciting poetry, spoken word, comedy or rap and musical performances.
Some of the well-known personalities billed to thrill patrons at the maiden edition include M.anifest, KSM, Knii Lante, Chief Moomen, DJ Black Yom Nfojoh and Solo 7.
The night woill not only be about the established performers. There is an open invitation to patrons to also show what they have.
“For those who have talents that have never been showcased before an audience, this is your opportunity. If you think you can sing, do poetry, spoken word, make people laugh through comedy or you can rap, this your opportunity,” organisers said.

Organisers urged that patrons “to come with their loved ones to enjoy the fun and entertainment.”
Tickets for the event are going for just GH₵30 and it will be on sale at the gate so patrons do not need to come to Joy FM to buy tickets.
