Michael Essien’s agent has rejected speculation linking the Chelsea midfielder with a summer move to AC Milan.
Tuttosport had earlier claimed that Milan were keen on the 28-year-old Ghana international after their CEO Adriano Galliani said on Tuesday he was building a squad to win the Champions League for next season.
Clarence Seedorf, Massimo Ambrosini and Andrea Pirlo all have deals which expire in June.
However, despite voices linking Essien with a San Siro shuffle, agent Fabien Piveteau said his client would remain at Chelsea.
“There is nothing true. I have not had any contact with Milan, and the player is happy with Chelsea where he intends to stay for the next three years,” the agent said.
“Everyone knows he is happy with Chelsea, and Chelsea are happy with him.”
