Listeners of Joy FM’s flagship late afternoon show, Drive Time, will not just be enjoying good content; they will also win amazing prizes this month of September.
This is part of the show’s restructuring, which has also moved its start time an hour earlier to 2pm.
There will be lots of exciting engagements where listeners can win prizes including mobile phones, home appliances, fuel vouchers kind courtesy The Luckiest, vouchers to Akcess Dental Clinic and more.
The games include trivia questions, sing-alongs and fastest fingers.
Drive Time, which previously started at 3pm, has been shifted forward to allow more time for music, conversations, celebrity interviews and giveaways. Popular segments such as Footprints, Global Sports, Drive Chat and Drive Entertainment will continue to feature.
Drive Time on Joy FM now airs from 2 pm to 5:30 pm from Monday to Thursday, and from 3 pm to 5:30 pm on Fridays.
According to host Louis Sakyiamah, popularly known as Lexis Bill, the new start time gives him and his team more freedom to deliver the engaging content listeners expect.
“The influence of the show is going to be felt more with this new change. We are going to have good time; more time for music, interactions and the kind of vibe that makes Drive Time stand out,” he said.
Lexis Bill has been the face of Drive Time since taking over in 2014, building it into one of Ghana’s most listened-to radio programmes during the evening commute.
Known for his deep velvety voice, smooth presentation style, wit and warmth, he has carved a reputation as one of Ghana’s leading broadcasters.
His interviews, music curation and interactive listener engagements have made Drive Time a key part of Joy FM’s line-up.
Beyond radio, Lexis Bill has established a strong personal brand as an entrepreneur, fitness advocate and event host. He has become a sought-after personality for high-profile events and television hosting. His influence extends across digital media, where his motivational content and lifestyle initiatives resonate with a broad audience.
The new schedule and giveaways are part of efforts to keep the show fresher and more accessible to its growing audience.
