Karim Zito says Dreams FC did everything they could to defend their MTN FA Cup title but didn't have luck on their side against Bofoakwa Tano.
The reigning champions of the cup competition were knocked out on Sunday in the semifinal after losing to Bofoakwa Tano at the WAFA Park in Sogakope after 120 minutes of action.
The Still Believe lads were hoping to reach back-to-back finals having won the competition last season but their inefficiency in front of goal meant they fell short of their target.
The result means Bofoakwa advanced to the last two where they play Nsoatreman.
Speaking after the game, Zito praised the efforts of his side adding that they didn't have luck.
"After every game, you look at what has happened. Sometimes, there is something called an element of luck. I will say luck was not on our side today. We created a lot of chances but putting the ball into the net…it was incredible," he said.
"I enjoyed what my boys did, the fighting spirit came especially the last 15. They came in seriously to fight for the equalizer but luck was not on our side. Today, we were not lucky, they took their chances and they won."
Dreams FC will now turn their attention to Ghana Premier League action where they lie 16th with four games in hand.
