Kwasi Twum, the CEO of Ghana’s most influential media company, The Multimedia Group has been honoured with a media excellence award.
Mr Twum received the honour at the maiden edition of the Exclusive Men of the Year (EMY) Awards on Saturday, June 18, at the Banquet Hall, State House.
The honour was in recognition of his enormous contribution to the growth of the private media landscape and championing media excellence in Ghana.
Mr Twum was honoured together with Dr Kwame Osei Despite, CEO of the Despite Group Companies, operators of Peace FM amongst others.
The Multimedia Group has been in the media and entertainment business for the past 21 years. The company has under its umbrella, Joy FM, Adom FM, Luv FM, Nhyira FM, Hitz FM, Asempa FM, MultiTV – Joy News TV, Joy Prime and Adom TV.
The company also operates Myjoyonline.com and Adomonline.com.
The EMY Awards, organised by Exclusive Men’s Magazine, Carbon AV and Mediaspace Cyber Media, celebrates, recognises and rewards great men, who have excelled in their fields of endeavour including business, fashion, education, technology and communication.
On the night, businessman and politician, Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom, CEO of Groupe Nduom, was adjudged the Ultimate Man of the Year.
He beat other nominees, including Mr Edward Doe Adjaho (Speaker of Parliament), Nana Agyeman Badu (Dormaahene), Nana Kwabena Nketiah (Omanhene of Essikado) and Professor Joshua Alabi (Vice Chancellor UPSA).
Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi (Bola Ray) and Kwami Sefa Kayi jointly won the Man of the Year (Communication) award beating Manasseh Azure Awuni, Ameyaw Debrah, and Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
