An accident near Yamoransa on the Cape Coast–Accra highway in the Central Region has left several individuals trapped, according to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) on Monday, September 15.
In a brief update posted on Facebook, the GNFS confirmed that a fire rescue team from the Regional Headquarters in Cape Coast has been dispatched to the scene and is currently conducting rescue operations.

Details regarding the number of vehicles involved, possible injuries, or fatalities have not yet been confirmed.

Emergency services have advised motorists to avoid the area if possible, as rescue efforts are ongoing and traffic is likely to be heavily affected.

The cause of the accident remains unclear at this time.
