A new surgical technique, tested in the US and Britain, promises to give women a “two-for-one” by taking unwanted fat from their stomach and thighs and turning it into terrific breast implants, the Daily Mail reports.
These implants look and feel more natural than their silicon counterparts, proponents say, and shouldn’t harden or change shape over time. More than 2,500 women have already requested the procedure.
“This is the most exciting breakthrough in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery that I have seen over the last two decades,” said the chairman of a group offering the technique.
“'It amounts to two beneficial procedures in one.” Test patients in the US and UK who got their surgeries four or five years ago confirm that it lasts.
