The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced the expansion of its premium registration services to five additional regions, effective 5th May 2025.
This move is aimed at enhancing access to expedited services for Ghanaians seeking first-time registration, card replacement, and personal information updates.
As part of this initiative, the NIA has also confirmed the relocation of its premium registration centre from its head office at Shiashie to the Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council (RCC), located at the Legon City Campus, with the digital address GA-076-0326.

This change is expected to streamline operations and improve service delivery within the Greater Accra Region.
In a statement released by the Authority, it was noted that from 5th May 2025, the premium centres at the Greater Accra RCC, Legon City Campus, and CalBank branches will operate strictly by appointment.
“Applicants who wish to access any of our premium services at these locations must register and book an appointment via register.nia.gov.gh,” the statement advised.
The NIA further clarified that all other premium centres nationwide will continue to operate on a walk-in basis.
The Authority encourages the public to take advantage of the improved service options while adhering to the new appointment-based system at designated centres.
