Spokesperson for Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign team, Kwasi Kwarteng, has assured that the team will strictly adhere to the rules and regulations governing the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) upcoming delegates’ conference.
Speaking to JoyNews after Mr Agyapong filed his nomination to contest the party’s flagbearer race on Wednesday, August 27, Mr Kwarteng emphasised that while the campaign would comply with the rules, it would not display weakness during the process.
“We are saying that we will respect all the rules, all the guidelines so far as this election is concerned, but we are not going to demonstrate weakness in this election,” he stated.
He further reiterated the team’s commitment to a fair contest, adding that Mr Agyapong was confident of securing victory with the backing of delegates nationwide.
Addressing hundreds of supporters who accompanied him to the NPP Headquarters in Accra, Mr Agyapong declared: “Some people have ideas. But I have bold ideas and creativity. We want somebody who can create businesses for the youth of this country.”
