The Bono Ahafo Regional branch of the NPP says it is going to court to contest results of all but two parliamentary seats the party lost in the region.
Officials say some irregularities have been detected in the Asutifi South, Banda and Pru East Constituencies.
Parliamentary candidates in the Kintampo North and Kintampo South are yet to join others who are contemplating court action over Wednesday’s poll results.
The NPP won 19 out of the 28 constituencies in the region, 3 seats more than it did in 2012.
Counsel for the petitioners, NPP Deputy General Secretary, Nana Obiri Boahen, says affected parliamentary candidates have begun internal processes to contest the results in court.
“Even if the NPP as a party decides not to contest, the candidates themselves and I will do so. The proper thing has to be done”, he added.
Meanwhile, Nana Obiri Boahen wants party supporters to refrain from attacking third NDC counterparts as they celebrate victory.
He alleges some individuals are taking advantage of the NPP victory to attack a toll booth at Fiapre, near Sunyani.
