Incoming Musiga President Bice Osei Kuffour has appointed Hi-life musician, Nana Tuffour as Director of Hilife music for Musiga. This is Obuor’s second appointment since his election as Musiga President.
He appointed Hiplife artiste Okyeame Kwame as spokesperson of Musiga right after his election as Musiga President.
Nana Tuffour’s appointment is in line with Obuor’s intention to run an all inclusive administration.
When Hitz FM contacted Nana Tuffour to verify the information, he indicated that he has yet to receive a letter on his appointment but he is prepared to serve the union in whatever capacity.
Obuor is expected to appoint Directors for the various genres of music to facilitate the effective administration of Musiga during his tenure as President after his inauguration.
Musiga spokesperson Okyeame Kwame told Hitz FM, a number of personalities are being considered for appointments.
Sources close to the Musiga President tell Hitz FM that he will appoint Directors and Deputies for all the genres of music under the union. This means that there will be Directors for Gospel music, Reggae music, Hiplife and Traditional music.
These Directors and their deputies will be responsible for the various genres and report to the Executives of the union.
This will free the President and the executives to focus on strategic matters and other issues.
Obuor and the newly elected executives will be inducted into office on Thursday at the Musiga office and Accra and this will be followed by a party on Friday at the same venue.
