A woman in her late 30s, identified as Mama Ahama, has been confirmed dead in an incident reported at Dzodze in the Ketu North Municipality.
The deceased was found unresponsive at the residence of Mr Christian Ahiadzro, 53, at Dzodze Kuli at about 0300 hours on February 20, 2026.
Mr Ahiadzro subsequently reported the incident to the Police. Officers who visited the scene conducted preliminary examinations and reported no visible signs of physical violence on the body.
Mr Sampson Adovor, Assembly Member for the Ablorme Electoral Area, who confirmed the incident to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said the deceased and Mr Ahiadzro were known to have been in a relationship.
He explained that Mr Ahiadzro is a native of Ablorme, while the deceased hailed from Kuli Dzogbefime all of Dzodze in the Ketu North Municipality.
He said the Police was investigating the case.
The deceased has been transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital, where the attending medical officer, Dr Emmanuel Bello, examined her and pronounced her clinically dead.
Mr Ahiadzro is currently assisting the Police with investigations, while the body has been deposited pending autopsy at the Ho Teaching Hospital to determine the exact cause of death.
