The Eastern Regional Security Council is set to meet this week following concerns over the celebration of the Odwira festival at Boso.The Boso traditional council petitioned the REGSEC over possible clashes between rival factions in the town. The police have already secured an injunction on a series of events there.Deputy Eastern Regional Police Commander, ACP James Azumah Abass told Joy News the injunction could be revoked based on the outcome of the meeting.“The Regional Security Council is inviting the two factions to a meeting to find out what the grievances are, and fashion out a solution to the problem so that we can have peace in Boso.”He said the celebration of the festival “will be put on hold until [a] decision is taken at the meeting.”
