Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has paid a morale-boosting visit to Abdul Mumin in Spain as the Black Stars defender continues his recovery from a thigh injury sustained in March.
Mumin, 26, limped off during Rayo Vallecano’s 1-1 draw with Sevilla on 31 March and has not featured in La Liga since.
With the Black Stars set to gather in London this month for a four-nation friendly series against Trinidad & Tobago, Nigeria and Jamaica, the technical team is monitoring the centre-back’s rehabilitation closely.
The Black Stars will play on 28th May and 31st June 2025 in the tournament set to be played in the UK.
Mumin, who has earned nine senior caps, was happy with the visit of the coach and explained his recovery process to the Ghana gaffer.
The defender has already missed Ghana’s World cup qualifiers with CHAD and Madagascar ans will also miss the upcoming tournament in the UK, which doubles as preparation for September’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
