Ghana’s leading telecom company, MTN Ghana, on Wednesday held its annual business programme at the Movenpick Hotel in Accra.
The 2025 edition was dedicated to a practical and effective approach to Artificial Intelligence (AI) development and implementation, focusing on AI solutions that address specific business needs.
Pursuing pragmatic AI development, MTN aims to leverage AI's potential while ensuring responsible and effective implementation.
Dubbed CTIO Roundtable Africa, it brought together hundreds of ICT experts and top business personalities in the ICT sector across the digital business community.

The programme was held under the theme: “ AI Driven Innovation: Transforming Business Strategies and Operational Efficiency".
It featured renowned resource persons such as Abel Lomotey Daitey, Chief Information Officer of GCB Bank; Abdoulaye Diack, Google’s Programme Manager for AI in Africa; Darlinton Akogo, Founder and CEO of MinoHealth AI Labs; Dr. Stephane Nwolley, CEO of Npontu Technologies; Nefertiti Puplampu, Founder of The Institute of Advanced Learning; and Jacqueline Hanso-Kotei, Senior Manager of Enterprise, Information Security and Governance at MTN Ghana.
These leaders shared insightful thoughts on the future of AI.
In her opening remarks, the Chief Enterprise Business Officer at MTN Ghana, Angela Mensah-Poku, stressed the significance of moving beyond discussions into meaningful applications.

She explained that while last year’s forum focused on AI use cases, this year’s edition was centred on real-world implementation and deliberate action.
