January 1, 2020, was another opportunity for the people of Winneba to once again showcase one of their best tourist attraction; fancy-dress party.
This year’s festival which coincided with government’s Year of Return program which attracted a sizable number of foreigners who were on hand to witness and appreciate creativity and innovations at its best.
Members of each group are required to get a new dress that cost them about ¢300 to ¢500 based on how imaginative the wearer wants it.
These dresses are mostly used for one celebration since new styles keep emerging every year.
After rounds of competition, the Royals won the day followed by Egyaa, Tumus, Nobles and Red Cross respectively.
