Polytank Ghana, in collaboration with the Ghana Plumbers Association (GPA), has organised a 9-kilometer health walk aimed at promoting physical fitness and wellness among its members.
The initiative, which saw over 50 participants, started from Oyarifa, passed through Ayi Mensah, and concluded at Peduase. In addition to the walk, participants received free health screenings for blood pressure, hepatitis, and prostate health, with a focus on male members over 40.
GPA President, Mr. Joshua Nyamavor, highlighted the importance of regular exercise, especially for professionals with demanding schedules. “This health walk is designed to re-energize our members, enhance mental well-being, and lower their risk of developing lifestyle-related diseases,” he said.

Mr. Nyamavor also praised Polytank for its continued support of the plumbing profession, especially in initiatives that enhance skills and professional standards. He noted that last year’s collaboration with Polytank significantly increased GPA’s membership through nationwide registration and the issuance of ID cards across six regions.
Looking ahead, Mr. Nyamavor revealed plans to work with relevant authorities to integrate the association’s ID card into a national identity system for plumbers.
“This step is crucial in promoting professionalism. Without the card, individuals not affiliated with the GPA will find it difficult to practice,” he emphasised.
Speaking on behalf of Polytank Ghana, Media Relations Officer Ms. Moudline Duodua Gyan reaffirmed the company’s commitment to advancing the plumbing industry.
“We aim to empower plumbers with the knowledge and skills required to meet modern standards,” she said. She also disclosed that Polytank supported the training and registration of over 400 plumbers last year, helping to curb substandard plumbing work nationwide.
