Funeral service for the late Professor Marian Ewurama Addy is expected to begin on Friday, February 28 at her hometown in Saltpond, the Central region.
Prof. Addy will be laid in state before her interment on Saturday, March 1.
Before the interment, a public memorial service will be held in her honour in Saltpond.
It will be followed by a strict family service on Sunday, March 2.
These were made known to TV3 by Joseph Newland Cole, an elder brother of the late scientist.
Prof. Addy died on Tuesday, January 14 after a short illness.
She was most noted for moderating the popular television programme National Science and Maths Quiz shown on Ghana Television.
The Professor of Biochemistry was educated at the St Monica’s Secondary School and then proceeded to the University of Ghana, where she studied towards a degree in Botany, and at the Pennsylvania State University, where she obtained Master and Doctorate degrees in biochemistry.
She was in January 2008 appointed President of the Anglican University College of Technology, a private initiative for higher technical education in Ghana.
She was married with two daughters.
