Ghana’s 400m queen, Rafiatu Nuhu, set a new national record in the event, storming to victory at the NJCAA preliminary rounds on Thursday.
The 24 year old run 51.46 seconds shaving almost a second off her previous personal best of 52.73 seconds set just last month.
The Cloud County Community College student, with the new time, set a new school record as well the second fastest time NJCAA history.
Nuhu, is a former student of Kumasi Girls Senior High School and competed for Ghana at the 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games in the Bahamas.
