The Methodist Bishop of Kumasi, Right-Reverend Nuh Ben Abubekr, has cautioned reverend ministers against amassing wealth at the expense of their mission to preach the gospel.
He said as men of God they were supposed to lead exemplary lives worthy of emulation as church leaders.
Bishop Abubekr was speaking at the graduation of 35 people from the Ghana branch of Philippine Baptist Theological Seminary Education by Extension in Kumasi.
The theme for the occasion was, "Keeping the Flame Alive".
He expressed regret that some reverend ministers have been under attack in recent times because of their involvement in ungodly practices.
Bishop Abubekr also expressed concern about increase in social vices among the youth in the country and asked them to be in the forefront in curbing such acts.
The Director of the Seminary, Dr Louis Owusu Bempah, said since its establishment in 2003, 84 students had so far graduated in various courses.
He said some of the courses offered include basic theological training, bachelor of church music, Christian education and inter-cross cultural studies.
Among the graduates was Right Reverend Daniel Yinkah Sarfo, Anglican Bishop of Kumasi who graduated in Divinity.
