Theatre lovers who have never seen Nii Commey's acclaimed play "Romantic Nonsense", last weekend got an opportunity to watch it.
The play which was first staged in 2009 tells the story of a couple who after two years of marriage, realized they were incompatible although everyone thought they were the best couple in town.
They realized after their marriage that they quarreled over everything including slippers and even toothpaste.
The re-run of “Romantic Nonsense”, was for a special cause, that is, to raise funds for children at the SOS children's village.
The fund raiser was well patronized by theatre lovers from all walks of life and although it was the third time the play was being staged, patrons seemed to enjoy every minute of it.
Mangers of the SOS Village however used the occasion to honour two personalities, Host of Joy FM’s Drive Time show and CEO of Empire Entertainment, Kwabena Anokye Adisi, better known as Bola Ray and C.E.O of TT brothers, Isaac Tettey, for their support for the village.
Speaking to Joy News after the production, Bola Ray said he was very humbled by the award and urged all, as much as possible, to support the SOS village in any small way.
“It’s all about reaching out and giving back to society especially the SOS Children’s village. It’s something that I will hold on to” he said of the award
Chief Executive of TT Brothers, Isaac Tettey dedicated the award to everyone associated with him especially his workers
“I thank God for this honour. I will like to say that it’s not all about me but by the hard work of the people working for me”.
