A 25 year old man reported himself to the police after killing one man and injuring another in a shooting at the A & C shopping Mall in East Legon.
The two men were shot last week under mysterious circumstances. A 25 year old man who turned up at the police station to report himself is being held whilst investigations continue.
On the dawn of June 4, the suspect, Yahya Ibrahim said he shot two men, one of whom he claimed attacked him with a broken bottle.
According to the Crime Officer at the Accra Regional Police Command, Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Frank Adufati, the Legon Police patrol team retrieved a pump action gun and cartridges on arrival at the scene of the incident after a distress call about.
One of the victims died upon arrival at the University of Ghana hospital at Legon.
The other victim was treated and discharged but has since been on the run.
Police say they are hunting for him to assist with investigations. The suspect is on remand to re-appear June 11 after his plea was not taken.
