Standard Chartered Bank, Ghana Thursday launched a new state of the art Online Banking user interface and Mobile Banking platform.
The new platform which integrates both online and mobile, greets clients with a fresh look and feel and also unifies the user’s log-in credentials. Clients log on to both platforms with the same credentials used for online banking.
Speaking at the launch, Head Retail Banking Standard Chartered Bank Ghana and West Africa, Henry Baye said, “We are proud to launch this refreshed, clean, sophisticated yet simple to use Online Banking User Interface and the exciting new Standard Chartered Mobile App," he said.
"This new look and feel combined with a great web and mobile interaction will deliver an amazing experience to our clients. With these digital innovations, we are introducing solutions that make banking more convenient and a step towards making Standard Chartered the digital main bank for our clients,” he added.
The new patforms will enable quicker and easier access to bank accounts. Clients can track and stay in control of their finances. Loan details viewing, funds transfers in real time, bill payments and account tracking activities are all available on mobile.
Overall, clients will enjoy a consistent mobile and online banking experience: usernames and passwords, beneficiaries, standing instructions and bill payees are replicated across both channels.
Paying bills is easier too as the revamp comes with an expanded list of utility companies, cable TV and internet providers. This online and mobile banking platform puts Standard Chartered at the forefront of digital banking technology in Africa.
In 2015, Global Finance named Standard Chartered the World’s Best Consumer Digital Bank and Best Regional Consumer Digital Bank for Africa and the Middle East.
