Finance Minister, Dr. Kwabena Duffour has assured Ghanaians of a better nation in the coming years.
According to him, there has been a tremendous improvement in the budget which will help accelerate the country’s developmental projects.
Mr. Duffuor said the resources will be spent on priority areas as infrastructure and social intervention programmes to enhance job creation and also address some of the pertinent problems confronting Ghanaians.
Speaking on Asempa Fm’s Ekosii Sen on Wednesday, the Finance Minister said the positive signs the economy is witnessing can be attributed to the high boost in oil prices, collections from revenue services as well as various banks and institutions within the country.
However, he commended the Customs Excise and Preventive Service and the IMF, for assisting in the previous years.
He therefore urged them to continue to offer help to the government and called on other financial institutions to assist the government when the need arises.
Mr. Duffuor will be addressing Parliament on Thursday to explain issues further.
