As part of this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Top-Up Pharmacy reaffirmed its commitment to society by organizing free breast cancer screening and education sessions at its Community 2 and Community 4 branches.
The initiative aimed to encourage early detection, empower women with knowledge, and promote a culture of regular self-examination and health check-ups. The event was done in partnership with International Maritime Hospital (IMaH) and Tema Urban Hospital.

Hundreds of individuals from the surrounding neighborhoods turned up to participate, benefiting from clinical breast examinations, health talks by qualified professionals from partner hospitals, and one-on-one consultations.

Speaking at the event, the head of sales and marketing, Dr. Isaac Buabeng Nyantakyi said, "We want to encourage everyone, especially both men and women, to take advantage of this opportunity and get screened for breast cancer. Early detection is key to survival, and we are committed to providing comprehensive care to those who need it".
He also added that we need to take good care of our health by proper diets, exercise, limiting alcohol use and avoiding smoking

Client packages included a 20% discount on mammograms and free breast ultrasounds for cases requiring further examination by one of our partnering hospitals, IMaH. Top Up Pharmacy also offered a 10% discount on prescribed treatment medications.
The event aligns with Top-Up Pharmacy’s broader corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitment to preventive healthcare and health education.
