Nana Nkansa Boadu Ayeboafo, chief of Agric-Nzema in the Kwadaso Municipality, has organised a Christmas party for over 1000 widows and Persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the community.
The event, which has become part of the annual traditional activities of the chief, brought together the widows and PWDs to wine and dine with members of the traditional council, to celebrate the Christmas festivities.
It was marked by a sense of unity, love, and goodwill, as the chief expressed his unwavering commitment to supporting vulnerable members of society, especially widows and those living with disabilities.
Speaking on behalf of the chief at the ceremony, Mr. Martin Kyeremateng, the spokesperson for the Chief, emphasized the spirit of togetherness and the importance of extending kindness to those in need during the Christmas season.
“Christmas is a time of sharing and caring, and we must never forget our less fortunate brothers and sisters who deserve to feel the warmth of love and community,” he remarked.
He encouraged all present to not only celebrate the holiday season with their loved ones but to also extend a hand of kindness to those facing difficult circumstances.
The event was a memorable one, as attendees were treated to a delicious Christmas feast, along with various gifts and donations, including food, clothing, and essential items.
The joy on the faces of the widows and persons with disabilities was evident as they expressed their gratitude to the chief for the kind gesture.
Many of them shared personal stories of how the event had brightened their spirits and provided them with hope for the future.
One of the widows, Madam Abena Dufie, expressed her heartfelt gratitude, saying, “this event has brought so much joy into my life.
“I have not had such a meaningful celebration in years, and I am deeply touched by the chief’s kindness. This is a true display of love and care,” she stated.
