The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) is partnering the Multimedia Group to share knowledge on business-related issues to the Ghanaian and international communities.
The Business School is a unique and trusted brand, but surprisingly has low media visibility and influence on public policy decision making, hence, this collaboration seeks to better position the UGBS brand to make an effective impact on our society.
To this end, the Dean of UGBS, Professor Justice N. Bawole, in the company of some faculty, held a meeting with Odelia Ntiamoah Boampong, the Head of Business Programming of the Multimedia Group Ghana, to set the ball rolling on the collaboration between the School and Multimedia Group Ghana.
“There is so much that is generated from the Business School, in terms of good content, but who hears it? How is it communicated and how can we leverage it? We, therefore, need to be able to carve a niche for ourselves, and the business school is a strong brand to partner with”, Mrs Ntiamoah Boampong stated.
Faculty members present suggested that a contact person in the School from the Marketing and Communications Unit be appointed to furnish the multimedia group with UGBS content and liaise with them to ensure effective communication.
In addition, UGBS and the Multimedia Group will collaborate on events such as the Ghana Entrepreneurship Forum, Budget Credibility Forum as well as recruit and train national service personnel from the Business School
The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) seeks to become a World-Class Business School through the conduction and dissemination of the findings of relevant cutting-edge research, to meet national and global development needs.
