Urologists at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital are warning against the use metal rings for masturbation, Luv Fm’s Erastus Asare Donkor has reported.Dr. Roland Azorlaide and Dr. Yenli, reconstructive surgeons at the hospital said they have worked on two patients with reported cases of near amputation of the male sex organ as a result of the use of such rings.Describing the practice, the urologist said some men have formed the habit of using gel over their manhood and slipping “tight metal rings” over them as “replacement of the female organ”.He said some men used this sex toy because it contributed to better erection and delayed orgasm. But overtime, this has resulted in patients who have had their penises trapped and swollen in metal rings used for sexual gratification. He said in some cases the doctors have had to use “heavy” equipment from “suame magazine” – a mechanical hub in Kumasi – to “delicately” remove the rings.
