Neighbours of the Vodafone Marketing Officer who was shot dead in his home at Sakumono, a suburb of Accra say, the assailants wanted some money the deceasd had made from the sale of his BMW vehicle.
They believe one of the deceased’s business partners gave the robbers a tip off.
Ebo Panford Quainoo, 30, was shot in the head at dawn on Wednesday by robbers while he slept in his bedroom.
His wife, who is a banker with the Sahel Sahara Bank said she was lying in the living room when she heard the shots. She rushed to the bedroom only that they were surrounded by robbers and her husband lying in a pool of blood.
The robbers made away with a flat screen television set, phones, a laptop computer and the only available cash - GHC150
Some of the neighbours who spoke to Joy News’ Latif Iddris said robbery incidences in the area are a regular occurrence but this particular one looked rather planned and specifically targeted at the deceased.
One resident said they called the police and many other people several times but no help came in time.
Police and officials of National Security have started investigations into the incident.
