The Bono Regional Minister, Justina Owusu Banahene, has commissioned a refurbished ultra-modern preschool building at the Central Business Centre of Wenchi to cater to the early childhood education needs of the market women within the municipality.
The refurbishment of the preschool owned by the Wenchi Municipal Assembly was made possible through Public Private Partnership (PPP).
Madam Owusu Banahene commended the private investor, Nana Edward Adusei, for partnering with the Wenchi Municipal Assembly to rebuild the school.
She said education plays a vital role in developing today's creative minds and setting society up for a future full of innovation.

She added, ‘‘with technology growing rapidly, it is easier than ever to find the tools, resources and people needed to foster the creative potentials all around us''.
The Bono regional Minister further stated that educational technology has emerged in recent years to introduce various Information Technology (IT) tools into the learning environment, creating a more inclusive and engaging experience for students.
She said technology advancements and scientific innovation within schools helps to showcase the value of creativity in every field, not just the artistic ones.
‘‘The integration of such tools into classrooms, therefore, opens the door for kids to embrace their creative desires and for teachers to tailor the academic experience to the individual students rather than shying away from them,’’ Madam Owusu Banahene explained.
She appealed to the investor to make good use of the facility whilst maintaining it to give meaning to Public Private Partnership.
The Wenchi Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Alexander Obour Damoah, stated that the City Angels Western Link School, formerly Wenchi Day Care Center, has been handed over to Nana Edward Adusei to manage for 20 years after satisfying all requirements stipulated by the assembly.
According to him, this will ensure the proper utilisation and maintenance of the facility to serve the intended purpose and achieve the expected results.
"Our decision to partner with a private investor followed observations that the facility was being underutilised and deteriorating at the expense of the tax-payer," Mr Obour Damoah added.
He noted the time has come for the assembly, private individuals and other organisations to partner and undertake some strategic investment projects in the municipality to propel socio-economic growth and accelerated development.
The Wenchi MCE said the private investor, Edward Nana Adusei, is an accomplished entrepreneur and Proprietor of the Mathematics Technology and Science (MTS) School and Western Link Educational Complex at Wenchi.
