A 44-year-old Western Regional Lands Officer has been enstooled as the Ntotoyɛhene (Chief of Staff) of the New Juaben Traditional Area in the Eastern Region.
The enstoolment elevates him to the status of a divisional chief, following his three-year service as Developmental Chief of Akwadum, a town within the New Juaben Municipality.
He succeeds Nana Dr Ofosu Achiaw Brempong, of blessed memory.
Known in private life as Eugene Asante Boateng, the chief now bears the stool name Nana Asante Boateng I. He brings extensive experience in land administration and surveying. He is expected to support the Paramount Chief in addressing longstanding issues relating to stool lands within the New Juaben Traditional Area.

Nana Asante Boateng I began his education at Koforidua Presbyterian Junior Secondary School, where he obtained his BECE. He later attended Ghana Secondary School, Koforidua, for his SSCE, before proceeding to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where he earned a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Land Economy.

He furthered his studies at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia, obtaining a Master’s degree in Sustainability. He is also a recipient of the Australian Africa Leadership Award of Excellence in Natural Resources Management.
Professionally, Nana Asante Boateng, I is an Estate Surveyor and a member of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors. He has served as a land administrator in the Eastern, Volta, Upper West and Western North regions.
